In December of 2004, at 24 years old, I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit HyperactivityDisorder/Inattentive.
Looking at my history, while the diagnosis made sense, it still came as a blow. Before my diagnosis, not knowing what I was dealing with, I hadn’t been coping well. Since the diagnosis, sometimes I cope well, sometimes I don’t. I decided to make this blog to record living with ADHD/inattentive as a single mother who works full time and attends college full time. It isn’t easy, but achieving the degree goal with challenges like mine is possible. My vision is for when this blog really takes off that I can open up discussions about ADHD to people with stories similar to mine. It isn’t the worst thing in the world. ADHD/inattentive isn’t an excuse. And people like me don’t have to be relegated to lives with little or no successes.
So, I’m going to dive in here, and see what happens.
